MIL-STD-2106A(SH) APPENDIX B
TEST TITLE: TEST NO: REV/CHG:
TEST DATA RECORDING
TEST DATA RECORDING pages are used to record all data called out in testing steps for measurement or observation. In the event a test is performed more than once (i.e., more than one equipment of same nomenclature), a separate set of data sheets shall be included for each time the test is to be run. This section is not applicable to appendices and may not be applicable to an addendum. The information contained in this section is developed in four columns:
a. STEP. Steps shall be numbered to correspond with the appropriate PROCEDURE section step. b. FUNCTION. The name of the function or parameter to be recorded shall be entered.
c. EXPECTED RESULTS. Entries of parameters which have definite values (yards, feet, volts, amps, etc.) shall show the nominal value followed by its tolerances, e.g., 10,000 yds +/- 10 yds, .01 V +/- .001 V, etc. Commonly accepted abbreviations should be used. Values shown with no tolerances shall be considered to require the exact value. Those steps involving the observation of illuminated indicators shall show illuminated (color where applicable) or extinguished. Those steps involving switch settings shall show the actual switch position, i.e., ON, #7, ACC, etc. Parameters involving observation of alerts or PPI displays shall show: satisfactory, observed, received, displayed, transmitted, etc. Under no circumstances should "SAT/UNSAT" be the expected results.
d. ACTUAL RESULTS. The actual results observed during test procedure conduct shall be recorded in this column. Sufficient space shall be provided to record expected results. A result must be recorded for each entry in the Expected Results column. For those entries in the Expected Results column requiring a specific value, the actual value will be recorded. For those entries in the Expected Results column requiring an observation, the entry of a check mark will indicate a satisfactory observation. In the case of an unsatisfactory observation, the word UNSAT will be entered under the Actual Result column and an explanation shall be entered on the COMMENTS sheet.
Note the signature section, which is a requirement on Test Data Recording sheets.
